Jude's Latest Blog Update.

In the last month Jude has run a total of 134 miles, combining road and hill training around Bredon Hill.  The longest runs have been between 16-20 miles, Jude is getting used to how much food and fluids she needs consume on each run.   She is also trialling which trainers she will use needing to ensure that the shoes give her plenty of support but also allow her feet to move with the terrain.

Over the next few weeks Jude will be increasing her intake of carbohydrates building the energy reserves and taking longer slow runs over the different terrains. Jude has been spotted in the Bredon Hill area wearing her Maggies vest so when you see Jude, please give her a wave.

Lots of local residents have kindly been donating via envelopes and Jude’s my donate page https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/judedayne.  We have a target of £1000 and little by little we are getting closer to achieving this.  Local business support is gaining, The Nutrition Centre in Tewkesbury, the Crown Pub in Kemerton, the Yew Tree in Conderton and the Royal Oak in Bredon, Kemerton Stores and Beckford Stores have all kindly agreed to display posters or have a collection tins.

On Sunday 27th April 2014, you will have your chance to join Jude and many others in a training run or walk from The Yew Tree Pub in Conderton to Sundial Barn located on the Overbury Estate starting at 10.30am.  There will be two routes which you can take and refreshments will be available at Sundial Barn.  More details to follow.
